Garin Jubber
Born and raised in Benoni, I have spent my entire life in the community I call home. My career began early at Volkspares, where I started working at just 12 years old. While gaining hands-on experience, I pursued my studies in Mechanical Engineering, balancing academics with my growing role at the company. In 2008, I took a significant step forward by acquiring shares in Volkspares, solidifying my long-term commitment to the business and the industry.
Ivan Williams
I was born in 1961 in Pretoria and spent most of my childhood in Tzaneen, where I developed a passion for mechanics while tuning 50cc motorcycles for speed. After matriculating in 1980, I began my apprenticeship at the Atlas aircraft factory and qualified as a tradesman in 1983. During this time, I also raced off-road, winning my class in a Lolette Dune Buggy that I built with Rudi Malan.
In 1985, I was drafted into the Air Force and spent time at the Katima Mulilo military airfield. After completing my service, I worked at Waterkloof Air Force Base before joining Kit Car Centre, where we built AC Cobras, Porsche Speedster replicas, and Lolette Dune Buggies. Later, I co-founded a workshop with Richard and Bryan Bird, specialising in Beetles, Kombis, and high-performance engines.
I went on to establish Volkspares branches in Pretoria and Johannesburg, expanding the business with my partner, Garin Jubber. In 2000, we had the opportunity to buy into the Jet Park main branch, and the rest is history.
